Rosalie and Isadore Sharp are OCAD U’s largest donors to date. Their generosity has reshaped the OCAD U campus, prominently establishing the Rosalie Sharp Centre for Design and the Rosalie Sharp Pavilion.

George and Martha Butterfield have generously donated over $1.1 million to OCAD U. Their recent gift played a pivotal role in kicking off the Butterfield Park Revitalization campaign.

Avalon Mott (she/her) is a curator, photographer and arts administrator from Vancouver now proudly calling Toronto home. After obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2013, Avalon continued her academic journey at OCAD University, earning a Master of Fine Arts degree in the Criticism & Curatorial Practice program in 2023. Today, Avalon works as the Director of Xpace Cultural Centre and is a contributing member of the plumb artist collective. 

OCAD U employees gathered at Onsite Gallery on October 22 to recognize the recipients of the Employee Excellence Awards and to celebrate the long service and commitment by several employees – all from the non-teaching staff. 

Ada Slaight and the Slaight Family Foundation have donations totalling nearly $3.75 million. The contributions have provided vital financial aid to students and supported transformative projects. 

RBC's renewed commitment of $1 million to OCAD University is a demonstration of its dedication to empowering the next generation of creative professionals with skills for a thriving future. This generous contribution further enhances the RBC Centre for Emerging Artists and Designers (RBC CEAD) and the RBC Continuing Studies Professional Skills Fund, both critical in equipping students and alumni with the skills and opportunities to succeed in the creative economy.
