OCAD U's Cultural Community Expo is an annual event built on a series of info sessions, panel discussions, studio visits and off-campus tours. Students and alumni get insights into potential career paths and advice on career-building from people working in the arts and cultural sectors. Speakers and panelists include professionals, studios, production centres, cultural organizations and OCAD U alums. The Expo offers students and grads the opportunity to make connections in the art and design community and come away with a better understanding of how to build a career in the arts!

Beyond the Gallery: Public Art as Professional Practice

Beyond the Gallery is a unique opportunity provided to students by OCAD U's RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers. Through a guest panel discussion and public art site visit, this event will highlight and demystify potential future career paths for Fine Art students. In 2025, a focus will be placed on paths that harness the power of community engagement through public art and beyond. Exemplary guests and OCAD U alum who have made public art part of their careers will share with participants an understanding of how to involve themselves in this aspect of professional practice. This event is part of the Cultural Community Expo series.
