We champion curricular innovation that prepares students for a rapidly evolving creative sector. We collaborate with OCAD U faculty, students, academic leaders and academic support staff to design and implement forward-thinking initiatives that reimagine how learning happens across the university.

How Do We Do This?

We facilitate processes, big and small

  • From course redesign to program-level transformation—we support processes that reimagine art and design education, always with a focus on student-centred, equitable and accessible learning experiences. 

We do research and evaluation

  • Need an environmental scan to inform program re-design?  Want to pilot a small (or large scale) pedagogical intervention? Curious about joining a multi-disciplinary team in collaborative inquiry?  We both support and lead research initiatives that enable reflective, evidence-based teaching and identify promising pedagogical practices.

We share insights and discoveries

  • Through roundtables, symposia, resources and other knowledge sharing activities we create opportunities to connect with and learn from each other as art and design educators, within OCADU as well as with national and international pedagogical communities.

We help art and design educators explore new approaches, assess impact and share insights that shape the future of learning.
