Board of Governors’ Internal Member Nominations: Permanent Managers and Staff

Nominations are now being accepted for Internal Member positions on the OCAD University Board of Governors.

  • One (1) Permanent Manager position elected by Permanent Managers at OCAD University.
  • One (1) Permanent Staff position elected by Permanent Staff at OCAD University.

Eligible candidates may submit nominations for these positions until Friday, May 2, 2025, 4:00 p.m.

Nomination Period: April 21 to May 2, 2025

Nomination Deadline: Nominations close at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025

NOTE: Completed nomination forms and supporting materials (current resume and

100-word summary profile statement) should be delivered to Tanya Bowes, Board

Secretary by the nomination deadline via email at tbowes@ocadu.ca.

Candidates Announced: By May 9, 2025

Election Period (Electronic Voting): May 26, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to May 28, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.

Election Results Announced: By May 30, 2025

Board of Governors’ Internal Members 2024/2025 Election – Student Members on the Board

In May 2024, the OCAD U Board of Governors Secretariat announced two vacancies for student positions:

  • One (1) Graduate Student position to be elected by registered full-time/part-time Graduate Students at OCAD University; and
  • One (1) Undergraduate Student position to be elected by registered full-time/part-time Undergraduate Students at OCAD University

The nomination and election period for these positions ran from May 6, 2024 (when student nominations opened) to September 18, 2024 (when the electronic voting period closed). See the list of ‘Key Dates’ below.

Now that the nomination and election period for student positions on the Board of Governors is complete, the OCAD U Board of Governors Secretariat is pleased to announce the official results:

  • Jugraj Khinda, an undergraduate Industrial Design student, has been elected as an undergraduate student representative on the OCAD University Board of Governors for a two-year term.
  • Stephanie Holko, a graduate student in the Master of Design, Strategic Foresight and Innovation program, has been acclaimed as the graduate student representative on the OCAD University Board of Governors for a two-year term.
