OCAD University has a Supporting Students in Distress Protocol, which provides guidance for the OCAD U community if they or someone they know needs urgent support. This includes support at SWC, as well as OCAD U safety and security, the student support program, community resources and/or nearest hospital emergency department.

Additionally, OCAD U students have access to mental health benefits through their student health and dental plan, Studentcare. This coverage provides up to $1000 annually for mental health and wellness services including Psychologists, Social Workers and Psychotherapists.

Lastly, SWC offers a dedicated wellness space, The Student Living Room, located at 230 Richmond Street W. 8th floor, where students can rest, work and connect with peers and staff.
