Join us for an in-depth conversation between artist Rosalie Favell, art historian Michelle McGeough, and Ryan Rice, Executive Director and Curator, Indigenous Art at Onsite Gallery.

On the night of Oct. 4 to 5, the historic Canada Malting Silos, located on Toronto’s waterfront, will be transformed into a moving canvas of light, dance, and water in a stunning large-scale cinematic projection, Dissolving Boundaries.

Presented by OCAD U’s Global Centre for Climate Action in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union to Canada, the large-scale projection was created by Alessandro Grisendi and Marco Noviello of Italian collective OOOPStudio.

September 29, 6:30 –10:00 pm An inspiring DesignMeets event where we’ll dig into the concept of how design can save us from ourselves in a world increasingly shaped by technology. 

This event, co-hosted with the vibrant DesignMeets organization in Toronto explores the core idea that designers, as “antennae of the race,” possess a unique ability to anticipate and respond to societal shifts.This conversation will be led by Andrew McLuhan, grandson of the visionary Marshall McLuhan, whose work profoundly explored how media and technology shape human perception and society.

OCAD U’s Faculty of Art is pleased to announce an opportunity for a current OCAD U graduate student to be a Project Assistant for From Our Point of View: Encounters with Artists, a year-long visiting artist project running until Spring 2026. We are seeking a Project Assistant who will assist Max Dean in coordinating the project. We are looking for someone to assist the participants with their research; to facilitate and book group communications (using Microsoft Teams and other platforms); to assist in formulating interview questions and organizing presentation materials; to coordinate publicity on campus; to help host the guest artists during their visits; and other tasks related to coordination of this program.
