Onsite Gallery, 199 Richmond Street West, Toronto
Discover the artistry and tradition of beadwork in this immersive Beaded Rosette Workshop led by exhibition artist Rebecca Baird. In this hands-on, three-hour workshop, participants will explore the creative process of designing and crafting their own unique beaded rosette while learning foundational beadwork techniques in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Guided step by step by Rebecca, participants will gain an introduction to traditional beading methods, including pattern development, stitching techniques, and finishing practices. With personalized instruction throughout the session, you'll have the opportunity to work at your own pace, ask questions, and develop the skills needed to create a beautifully detailed piece.
All materials are included, with each participant receiving three beading needles, a piece of black cloth, and a carefully selected assortment of beads to complete their rosette. Whether you're new to beadwork or looking to deepen your existing practice, this workshop offers a meaningful opportunity to connect with the creative process while developing a timeless handcraft.
By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a one-of-a-kind handcrafted beaded rosette, a deeper appreciation for the art of beadwork, and the confidence to continue exploring this rewarding creative practice.
