100m is a student-run studio collective at OCAD that aims to support co-operation within our community. 100m is a network of self-governing studios with the common goal to create a space that fosters interconnection among its members; A space to create, publish, share, and cultivate a communal practice —a community.

AD LAB is a student-run group for anyone interested in creative advertising. The group provides a space to learn, experiment, and connect through workshops, guest speakers, and collaborative projects. Members have the opportunity to develop ideas, improve their portfolios, and gain insight into the advertising industry in a supportive, community setting.

AI After Hours is a club dedicated to exploring the latest advancements in artificial intelligence while actively discussing the ethical and cultural implications. We strive for a balanced overview of this revolutionary technology by encouraging conversation about both the pressing issues and the exciting potential.

Introducing the Almeda Black Student Collective! This group is for OCAD U’s Black identifying students to unify and support one another in creative endeavours, create opportunities through events and exhibitions, address and discuss social issues, ideas, educate each other and enhance the Black culture at OCAD while birthing long-lasting communal relationships!

AMANE ACG is a premium exchange platform designed for enthusiasts of anime, gaming, and the broader culture of the second dimension. Here, aficionados are free to share their personal preferences, engage in in-depth discussions on various works, and exchange insights. Additionally, our community offers a unique opportunity for members to meet many like-minded friends. Our mission is to create an environment filled with enthusiasm and support, jointly forging a ACG community that is both fun and warm-hearted.

Cinema Society is a space of love for movies and filmmaking, where the OCAD community can meet and share. We advocate for a safe space to discuss both aesthetics and politics in film, as well as deepen our understanding of film as an art form. We also just really like movies and wanna enjoy that together.

Clay studio club focuses on teaching and learning clay building skills through a studio project practise that works with live models. The goal of the club is to continue to develop skills needed for clay based sculpture and offer a space for people to continue learning these skills outside of class time.

The Creative Coding Club at OCAD U is a place to experiment with creative technology, connect with people and have fun.

This is group for Creative Writing majors, minors, and anyone who likes to write! We host open mics, writing workshops, and social events to foster community and allow for working relationships to form. Join if you like writing, reading writing, watching live performance, or just having a fun time with creative people.

Dance 2Nay is a student-led club which focuses on bringing together the dance community at OCADU. We host drop-in dance classes of various styles (including waacking, contemporary, choreography, kpop, etc.) for students of various levels (from beginner to advanced). Dance 2nay provides students with a safe and inclusive space to explore and fully express themselves through artistic movement. We are compassionate about our practices and strive to foster an appreciation for the art of dance in all its forms. Let’s move, connect, and dance 2nay!

The Drawing and Painting club is focused on bringing students together who enjoy drawing and painting, while harboring a collective student voice for the DRPT department. Meetings will include group gatherings where students help each other with projects and assignments, host demos and artist talks with artists (inside and outside the program), organize gallery visits, hold critiques, and share/help with department news and initiatives. All OCADU students are welcome and encouraged to join. You do not need to be a DPRT student to join. Contact us! 

The Environmental Committee at OCAD or (ECOCAD for short) invites you to be a part of our garden and attend our monthly meetings where we do more than just think green. Geared towards students of all disciplines, we convene on the common goal of supporting sustainability that extends beyond school grounds. We aim to promote a cleaner campus and enable a circular economy with art-supply exchanges, community clean-ups, and open ecological discussions.

OCAD University’s Foundry is a fully equipped metal casting facility for bronze
and aluminum. The Foundry Club exists to allow students with similar interests, backgrounds,
and ambitions to share ideas, explore techniques, casting processes, and examine various
casting materials. Club members will have access to the Foundry for metal casting projects,
both individually and/or group projects. Foundry Club plans to meet on a bi-weekly basis,
developing project plans, goals, and activities; learning and innovation can happen through
collaboration!

All IAMD and CCP graduate students are invited to meet biweekly and offer critique to each other to support the growth and development of their work.

The Hindu Students Council at OCAD University is a vibrant community dedicated to promoting Hindu culture, spirituality, and traditions among students. Through various events, workshops, and discussions, we aim to foster a sense of belonging and encourage dialogue about Hindu heritage, and community service. We aim to create a supportive environment for students to explore their identities, celebrate festivals, and engage with the wider campus community.

The Indigenous Student Association (ISA) is a student-led group committed to supporting our First Nations, Inuit, and Metis undergraduate and graduate students at OCAD University. The ISA maintains a sense of community amongst their peers by advocating for Indigenous students, and organizing programming, events, exhibitions, and workshops that support our community.

We are the Christian student group at OCAD U. We want to love and support the larger OCAD U community as well as the city, by fostering a caring community through our actions and events.

The Iranian Association of OCADU is a student-led group dedicated to building community and connection among Iranian students and friends. Our purpose is to create a welcoming space where we can support one another, share our culture, learn from each other, and celebrate together. We host events, gatherings, and activities that strengthen our community while making student life more fun and meaningful.

We are a latino community, looking for latino american people in order to share our culture, music, food and traditions. We are also looking to have hangouts and events in our community to connect with each other and have fun!

The OCADU Mask Bloc is a disability justice collective operating on the principles of mutual aid, harm reduction and collective access. We provide free high quality respirator masks to OCAD U students, disseminate information regarding the ongoing pandemic, and aim to increase the accessibility of other tools and resources in order to to keep ourselves and each other safe and well. We care about community care!

The MSC engages mature students in social, learning and creation activities and advocates at the administrative level to support the well-being of mature students at OCAD U.

Mentari is the Indonesian Student Association at OCAD University. We welcome student who share a connection to, or interest in Indonesian culture. As a bridge between students and the wider community in Toronto, we provide cultural exchange and meaningful bonding.

Muse Work-Shop is a student-run group that aims to help the OCAD U student talent build their small business. Through hands-on workshops, collaborations with print services, and real-world guidance on working with manufacturers, our club is dedicated to bridging the gap between artistic talent and entrepreneurial success. Muse Work-Shop is the place to gain knowledge, experience, connect with like-minded individuals, and discover the student talent at OCAD U.

The OCAD U MSA is here to provide and facilitate for Muslims on campus. We raise awareness about Islam and maintain a peaceful prayer space for Muslims. All Muslim and non-Muslim students, faculty and staff are welcome!

Muze is a women-centric magazine run by women, for women. It publishes art, writing, and visual work that examines varied portrayals of women through different social lenses, creating a platform for diverse voices and contemporary cultural dialogue.

O Cappella is OCAD U's student led A Cappella group. We produce group and solo performances each semester bringing together all those who want to connect through song.

"Founded in 2018, OCAD Artist Alley (OAA) is a student-run club where we host semi-annual artist market events and workshops on running small business, aiming to assist current students and newly grads start tabling experience and gain entrepreneurial mindset.Through tabling events such as Spring market (April), Back to School market (September), we promote creativity, originality and craftsmanship in local art community and intend to gain publicity and OCAD artist recognition. To foster community, celebrate business milestones and reconcile achievements, we host on-line and virtual workshops and seasonal hangouts. OAA is a community focusing on equity, inclusiveness and diversity."

The OCAD University Chinese Student Association (OCSA) is a student organization dedicated to enhancing campus cultural awareness and providing academic and informational support for students from similar backgrounds. Our mission is to foster cultural exchange through innovation and a diverse range of educational activities. We also strive to promote leadership skills within the campus community and foster friendships with other clubs and students.

OCAD U Climbing Club is for OCAD U students interested in rock climbing, bouldering and other outdoor sport activities.

OCAD Korean Student Association (OKSA) is a student-led group carrying the intention of helping Korean identifying students, or any of whom are interested, to feel a sense of belonging and community within OCAD U. We intend to express our pride and belonging through the rich and beautiful culture of Korea and share them with the OCAD U community. 

Our goal is to build a Mandarin speaking Christian community in OCAD where brothers and sisters may support each other in faith, in faithful study of scripture and community, to glorify God and let His name be made known.

A group to be a platform to find players or a dungeon master for tabletop games! We have a few public games, but also several smaller closed groups that all meet on meeting days!

The OCAD U Drama Club aims to advance interests in theatre among students by fostering an inter-departmental community of individuals passionate about the dramatic arts. We facilitate skills building workshops on topics such as acting, improv, sound and lighting design, host group excursions to local theatres, and stage performances.

We are the OCAD U Jewish Club. We aim to bring Jewish and Israeli students, along with allies, together to form a strong and welcoming community.

In the Revolutionary Communist Party, we believe that in order to truly put an end to war, poverty, inequality, environmental destruction and all forms of oppression, we need to overthrow the capitalist system. We are internationalists and believe that only a united struggle of the working class with all layers of the oppressed can achieve our aims. We combine serious study of Marxist theory with active participation in both the student and workers’ movement in order to advance struggles in the here and now.

We are a growing organization with the aim of spreading to every high school, college and university campus.

OCADU Animation Club, a social environment created by the students to bring everyone together through the magic of animation and the world of anime!

Welcome to the Papercraft Club! A society of paper lovers and all things to do with upcycling and wellness through the form of journaling. We feature members who practice in, but are not limited to: bullet journalling, junk journalling, scrapbooking, etc. All forms of journalling are accepted -- beginners welcome! Bring some scissors, adhesive, scraps, and get creating!

The Plastic Student Club is a volunteer run, not-for-profit, student group intent on building team-working, fabrication and entrepreneurial skills in a safe and welcoming community through club funded projects, workshops and markets.

The print and pub after school club is a student led, studio based club, as a gathering space for the OCADU printmaking community (and those interested in exploring!). Through social and hands-on practical events, students can come together to bond and create via printmaking and nano-publications.

A space for creatives, faculty and community to gather mindfully and address critical issues with play and hope to transform our futures. We will meet to talk about our ideas and work on creative projects as art is a powerful tool of expression. Project Hope welcomes you to co-creation, co-facilitation is encouraged from new and existing participants. We welcome your creativity and unique gifts!

Founded in 2022, RenderED is going into its fourth year. Our aim to provide support and social networking opportunities for students amongst other and also with professors and outside OCAD with industry specialists. We aim to build a great ED designers community at OCAD, so when the students join they have a platform where they can meet their peers and seniors, and also when they leave they have made amazing connections that will help them in their career going forward.

RISOCAD Club is an opportunity for students of all programs to use the riso machines in OCAD U’s 667 Riso Studio with other creative members. We focus on creativity, zine making, collaboration, and fun!

The Sculpture and Installation (SCIN) Club is a meeting place for all SCIN majors and 3D enthusiasts to connect. Events will include networking opportunities, artist talks, gallery visits, and hands-on demonstrations. We are also excited to be hosting SCIN Fest again this year so get your work ready!

The Shoes Off Collective (SOC) is a community of Asian-identifying creatives who connect through in-common diasporic experiences. In addition to connecting through culture, art, design, identity, activism and social issues, we hangout together, eat together and create together.

Somatic Studio is a weekly gathering space for OCAD U students to explore the connection between body, mind, and creative practice through guided movement and music. Rooted in improvisation, play, and embodied awareness, the club offers a supportive environment for dancers and non-dancers alike to reconnect with their physical selves. Each session includes a warm-up, extended movement exploration, and a closing meditation. Somatic Studio is a space for release, curiosity, and the cultivation of presence, nourishing both artistic expression and personal well-being.

SAID hosts large scale networking events connecting design students with designers from big tech, banks, healthcare, and furniture.

This club is for graphic design students interested in engaging with other designers beyond the classroom. We plan to collaborate on group design projects and organize exhibitions during the semester and vacation breaks. We will also hold group critique sessions to support and grow our creative abilities. This club is for students who want to explore personal creative projects outside of their academic coursework. We meet regularly to work on individual or collaborative artworks and plan small exhibitions together. BakesNBrakes Tea Party Club is a student-led group at OCAD U that brings a little sweetness to student life—literally.  this club creates cozy, creative spaces where students can take a break, enjoy tea, and indulge in homemade pastries.
Each month, we raffle off a pastry idea, and Okiki (with the occasional help from fellow members who want to get hands-on) bakes up something delicious to share at our themed tea party gatherings. Whether you want to roll up your sleeves and join in the kitchen or simply come for the vibes, BakesNBrakes is a low-pressure, feel-good space to unwind, connect, and treat yourself.

TAC (Trans Artists Collective) aims to provide a space where Trans and Nonbinary individuals at OCADU can socialize and connect through their work and shared experiences as Trans students. TAC will facilitate student-led workshops, exhibitions and gatherings as well as social events related to the Trans experience.

UXSA (UX Student Association) is a free platform that brings together students from all of Canada who’s interested in UX/UI, product design, and design thinking. We host beginner-friendly design challenges, networking and portfolio/resume prep workshops to help those looking to land their dream internship/new grad role.

VinAlley is a cultural community dedicated to celebrating and reconnecting with Vietnamese heritage. Inspired by the labyrinthine alleys of Vietnam, where we witnessed the daily routines that filled with special scent of cooking smoke and lively chatters. Our club provides a warm space for students to share traditions, explore cultural roots, make new friends, and engage in cross-cultural exchange.

Student collective for women and people of underrepresented gender identities in animation. We will run a variety of events that all have our main objectives as the focus. All events will fall under two categories, WIA Connect events and Talent Development. The WIA Connect events will include movie nights, animation/drawing dates, PowerPoint nights, and WIP mixer/ studio days. The talent development events will include talks from animators, portfolio reviews, various animation workshops and a final student screening.

Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups and Christian denominations, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. We have a common passion and purpose ​to know God and make Him known. YWAM draws people from a variety of backgrounds and nationalities to work together in a broad spectrum of evangelistic activities. People of all ages from more than 160 nations are involved in our ministries.
