OCAD University’s RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers is excited to announce Amir Khoshnevis as the recipient of the 2024 Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival Career Launcher for the role of Graphic Designer!
 

 

 

Amir Khoshnevis is a graphic designer based in Tkaronto. He is Intrigued by systems, language and the intersection of code and design. Amir is making strides to predicate his practice on experimental publishing, book design, interactivity and web.

Founded in 1997, the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival (Reel Asian) is a unique showcase of contemporary Asian cinema. As Canada’s largest pan-Asian film festival, Reel Asian provides a public forum for Asian media artists and their work and fuels the growing appreciation for Asian cinema in Canada. In addition to the annual film festival, Reel Asian organizes year-round programming and educational initiatives in partnership with local schools and arts organizations around the GTA. Reel Asian will be celebrating its 28th annual festival with an in-person and online edition in November 2024.

OCAD University’s RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers is launching a mentorship program for creative entrepreneurs. Running from June to December 2025, this initiative is designed to empower early-stage creative businesses across a spectrum of disciplines—including visual art, cultural production, design fields, media production, social enterprise, technology-enabled services and more. Through mentorship, the program aims to bridge the gap between ideas and successful business ventures.
