In Between is a liminal space where I hide from reality, to dream and to have conversation with myself. It allows me to feel myself and to explore the sense of belonging, self-acceptance within me, in order to claim myself back from the sense of otherness, and body dysphoria, that caused by the mainstream viewpoints and standards from the environment that I grew up in. The idea is inspired by my doubts about my existence in this world, that why should I “born to” be questioning myself about not fitting into the mainstream and being “not standard” or “not normal”. In Between reveals a piece of inner struggle between my physical body and my conscious mind, it is a calling to the public for resonations by exposing an imagined scenario from my mind. It is potentially a validation to people who may feel in a similar way that I do.
