OCAD University’s RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers (CEAD) is excited to announce the return of our partnership with Mako Art Market, a curated pop‑up event celebrating cute, creative, and handcrafted goods by local artists and makers. This opportunity allows a small group of OCAD U students and recent alumni to share a table and sell their artworks or products within a supportive, community‑oriented setting.
The Mako Art Market will take place at Parkdale Hall (1605 Queen St W, Toronto) on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 12 PM to 6 PM. Selected vendors will gain hands‑on experience with tabling, preparation, and peer collaboration. CEAD will provide an onboarding workshop to support participants, and no percentage of sales will be taken by OCAD U or Mako.
This opportunity is open to current students and recent alumni (2023 or later) who create small‑scale artworks or products suitable for in‑person markets. For questions or additional support, contact arodriguez@ocadu.ca with the subject line “Mako Art Market.”
