Polaroid Emulsion Lift Workshop with Cruz

Join us for a creative 3-hour workshop where you'll explore the captivating process of Polaroid emulsion lifts—a technique that transforms instant photographs into delicate, painterly works of art. Learn how to carefully lift and transfer the emulsion layer from a Polaroid photo onto textured watercolour paper, creating dreamy, one-of-a-kind compositions.

Each participant may receive Polaroid prints, a darkroom tray, two sheets of 7” x 10” watercolour paper, a pair of brushes, and a take-home envelope for your finished artwork.

The session begins with a guided introduction and live demo of the technique, followed by hands-on experimentation. You'll have the opportunity to create up to two unique pieces, with time and group size in mind. Once your prints have dried, personalize your creations with drawing, painting, or mixed media embellishments.
