For a one-month period in March 2025, OCAD U Environmental Design students, supported by Associate Professor Neal Prabhu, and Zev Farber, director, RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers (CEAD),  contributed to the research and design of Forum’s latest student housing project focussed on attainable student housing. This collaboration ensures that student needs are at the core of Forum’s development projects while providing OCAD U students with real-world design experience.

This exhibition is the culmination of that initiative, which aimed to integrate student-led design into Canada’s student housing developments, creating spaces that are “designed by students, for students.” Visitors can walk through a simulated student residence that has integrated the new student designs, giving visitors a glimpse into the future of student housing.

The collaboration was made possible through the Design 4 agreement developed by the RBC CEAD.
