🍂GUEST SPEAKERS🍂

🍂KEIGHT MACLEAN: OCAD U Alum (Illustration, Class of 2016)🍂

Keight MacLean is a Toronto-based painter, born and raised in Kingston, Ontario. MacLean is an OCAD University graduate and alumna of the school’s revered Florence Program, in Florence, Italy. Inspired by her time studying the old masters first hand, MacLean’s paintings combine the old with the new, reproducing historical portraits by hand before applying contemporary and experimental methods such as fluorescent spray paint, re-harvested artists’ mediums and destructive techniques. With a love for European history, MacLean’s focus on women was born after years of reading male driven histories. Her work now seeks to celebrate the many women in historical portraits, either without name, known only in reference to their male relations or entirely unknown, giving a voice to the silenced

🍂OLIVIA MAE SINCLAIR: OCAD U Alum (Interdisciplinary Art, Media & Design, Class of 2021)🍂

Olivia Mae Sinclair is a textile-book artist. Her intuitive and trauma-based practice is guided by sloppy craft and imperfection. She is addicted to infatuation and Redbull. She is a maker of books, love and other grotesque things. She graduated from OCAD University's Interdisciplinary Master's in Art, Media and Design program. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Craft and Design at Sheridan College. Olivia is a Harbourfront Centre Artist in Residence alumnus. Typically, books made from fabric are intended for children and infants. Olivia Mae Sinclair’s books, however, are made for lovers, survivors, artists, her, him, them and me.
