Artwork (Cone Oscillator): As the pine cone on the Cone Oscillator dries it slowly opens and a toothpick extension fastened to one of its scales presses a switch, activating a motor. A water bottle above is squeezed and the pine cone receives a shower. Now wet, the pine cone closes quickly. Over time, it slowly dries, opens and reactivates the motor, triggering another shower so that the entire process repeats. See the Cone Oscillator in action.
