Join us for an open conversation with celebrated Canadian artist Maria Hupfield, an urban Anishinaabe from Wasauksing First Nation (Huron Robinson Treaty), Ontario, and an explorer of the potential for consciousness within objects through performance. She is represented by Galerie Hugues Charbonneau in Quebec and Patel Brown Gallery in Toronto. She is an Assistant Professor in Indigenous Performance and Media at UofT Mississauga.

 
 

 

A year-long research project that explores the practices of established Canadian artists through three in-depth interviews, led by upper-year OCAD U students. The project creates a safe space for students, established artists, and cultural advocates to ask questions and share knowledge.
