An online exhibition of works by students from the 2025 EAD: Bridge to First Year summer program, presented by the English for Art & Design (EAD) Program.

Eighteen students from this year's summer program/cohort participated in this optional exhibition which showcases their final project. Students produced a self-portrait as an object: one that represented who they are (at that time). What was their choice of object and how did they depict it? What representational method or style did they use? We invite you to check out the artwork and accompanying statements.

EAD: Bridge to First Year is a six-week summer intensive pathway program for English Language Learner and multilingual students entering their first year at OCAD University. Students work with experienced instructors to build academic language skills specific to art and design disciplines, learn about academic and studio culture at OCAD U, become familiar with the analytical and iterative methods needed, and build helpful connections to start their first year.
