Canadian Artists’ Book Symposium
The Canadian Artists' Book Symposium celebrates the creative practices of artists who explore the medium of artists' books. Taking place at OCAD University Library's Learning Zone (122 A St. Patrick St., Toronto) on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, the symposium will feature invited artists: Eric Francisco, George Walker, Lise Melhorn-Boe, Marlene MacCallum, and Susan Mills. These artists will share insights into their artistic processes—from initial concepts to production techniques.
Artists' books are unique works of art that integrate structure, materials, and content to convey meaning and ideas. The symposium will include artist presentations and open Q&A sessions to foster discussion and engagement with the audience.
While Toronto-based artists will present in person, the event is also available virtually via Zoom, welcoming Canadian artists and participants from across the country to join the conversation.
