Supporting student well-being and mental health is a priority for OCAD University.

The Student Wellness Centre (SWC) is a multidisciplinary team that provides supportive and accessible mental health and wellness supports for students year-round. These include low barrier options through peer support, limited same day availability, single sessions, and scheduled appointments.

Health and Dental Insurance

OCAD U offers students an excellent health and dental plan. Coverage is provided by Alumo (previously known as Studentcare). If you are registered in at least 1.5 credits in both the Fall and Winter Terms, you're automatically opted in to the plan. You can make changes to your coverage during the first month of classes by opting in, opting out, or adding dependents to health and/or dental plans.
