Senate Elections

OCAD University Senate elections are managed centrally by the Chief Electoral Officer and are held annually in preparation for the upcoming academic year. Elected Senators include faculty, Program Chairs/Graduate Program Directors, as well as both undergraduate and graduate students.

Eligible voters, for both Students and Sessional Faculty, are to check their email for a link to the electronic voting portal and submit their votes by the deadline of Friday, September 20, 2019 at 4:30pm

Undergraduate Student Senators​ are elected by and from undergraduate students enrolled in a program and must be from their home faculty (e.g. nominators from the Faculty of Art are only eligible to submit nominations for student within the Faculty of Art). Graduate Student Senators are elected from and by graduate students enrolled in any full- or part-time program.

Sessional Faculty are elected by and from Sessional faculty members for a one (1) year term and may be nominated for a second consecutive one (1) year term.
