Board of Governors’ External Member Nominations

OCAD University’s Board of Governors (Board) has members from the external community, who are elected by the Board itself, as well as by the alumni. These External Member positions are voluntary positions for a three-year term upon successful completion of the recruitment and election process. 

There is currently one vacancy for an External Member, elected by the Alumni, for a three-year term.

Nominations are being accepted until January 31, 2018 for this Alumni position.

Board of Governors’ Internal Member Nominations

Nominations are now being accepted for several positions on the OCAD University Board of Governors.

Eligible candidates may submit nominations for these positions until Monday, September 11, 2017, 4:30 p.m.

Student positions available are:

  • One (1) Graduate Student position elected by registered full-time/part-time Graduate Students at OCAD University;
  • One (1) Undergraduate Student position elected by registered full-time/part-time Undergraduate Students at OCAD University.

Each of these student positions is for a two-year term or as long as the student is a member of that student group.

Nomination Period: August 16 - September 11, 2017

Student Information Session: Friday, September 8, 2017 12 noon – 2:00 p.m. (2 1-hour sessions) in Room 322 (3rd Floor Boardroom), 230 Richmond Street West (Drop in for FREE PIZZA!)

Nomination Deadline: Nominations close at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017

  • NOTE: Completed nomination forms and supporting materials (current resume and 100-word summary profile statement) should be delivered to Carole Beaulieu, Secretary to the Board of Governors, 11th Floor, 230 Richmond Street West by the nomination deadline.

Candidates Announced: By September 13, 2017

Election Period (Electronic Voting): September 13, 2017 from 12:00 a.m. to September 20, 2017 at 11:59 p.m.

Election Results Announced: By September 26, 2017
