The OCAD U Drawing and Painting Club is running its first official show, You Are The Community. This show is an exploration of community, and how we come together as a society to create and live. The featured art in this show represents community in various ways, from having it be the featured theme of the art, to being made by communities, or even building community through the relational aspects of the art itself. Members of the OCAD U Drawing and Painting club are featured in this show, along with many others from the local OCAD U Community. The space has been transformed to make the OCAD U Great Hall a comfortable place to exist during the duration of the show, with walls that feature the artists being used as tools to break up the large open space, shifting the energy into smaller tight knit relaxation spaces where couches and chairs invite the audience to sit down and get to know those around them.
