Looking for some feedback on your work, career path, or life after OCAD U? The OCAD U Creative Professionals-In-Residence program is a mentorship initiative created to support the career success of current OCAD U students and recent alumni. Book a one-on-one career mentorship session with our guests this semester and receive career advising, feedback on your portfolio and hear their professional insights.

Chiedza Pasipanodya is a sculptor, writer and curator whose practice investigates material culture, diasporic memory, and the transformative potential of ritual and form. Notable exhibitions include Have No Doubt of the Omnipotence of a Free People at Catinca Tabacaru Gallery, Bucharest (2025), Dura | a mechanism for recalling sensibilities of community care (from any and all satellite sites such as this) at BAND Gallery & Fort York Historic Site, Toronto (2024), Genealogies of Sustenance at The Gardiner Museum, Toronto (2024), Ndafunga Dande (Thoughts of Home) at Art Gallery of Burlington, Burlington (2023), and New Forms: that which constitutes critical matter at Artspeak, Vancouver (2023). A Toronto Biennial of Art Curatorial Fellow (2022), Pasipanodya has participated in residencies at Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts (USA), Dzimbanhete Arts and Cultural Interactions (Zimbabwe), and the Global Experience Project: Maria Thereza Alves (Italy). They hold an MFA in Sculpture from Cranbrook Academy of Art and a BFA in Criticism and Curatorial Practice from OCAD University. Pasipanodya is currently the Executive Director of Xpace Cultural Centre.
