Congratulations to OCAD University Chancellor Jaime Watt on receiving the Award of Distinction from the Public Affairs Association of Canada (PAAC).

The award is presented to a member of the public affairs community who, over their career, has made a significant contribution to public affairs in Canada.

As Executive Chairman of Navigator and founder of the Canadian Centre for the Purpose of the Corporation, Watt is widely regarded as Canada’s leading high stakes communications strategist who is a trusted advisor to boards of directors, business and professional leaders as well as political leaders at all three levels of government across Canada.

He specializes in complex public strategy issues, serving both domestic and international clients in the corporate, professional services, not-for-profit, and government sectors.

A long-time champion of both OCAD U and the arts and culture sector, Watt began his four-year-term as Chancellor in 2022, and prior to that, he provided exceptional leadership to OCAD U as Board Chair for four years.

PAAC has presented the Award of Distinction to a member of the public affairs community annually since 2001. Watt was recognized for his achievements at the PAAC Annual Conference on November 13, 2024.
