Graduate School Fair

Cranbrook Academy of Art is a graduate-only institution in the United States offering MFA and M.Arch degrees in ten disciplines: Architecture, Ceramics, Fiber, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Metalsmithing, Painting, Photography, Print Media, and Sculpture. Each program is led by a practicing artist, designer, or architect whose studio work directly informs the program's direction.

The curriculum combines studio practice with lectures, workshops, symposia, critiques, dinners with visiting artists, and informal discussions in studio kitchens. The Academy's small size allows for a highly personalized experience and easy access to shared facilities that support interdisciplinary work.

The Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto offers graduate programs in architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, forestry, and visual studies-as well as unique undergraduate programs that use architectural studies and visual studies as a lens through which students may pursue a broad, liberal arts-based education. Its mission is to educate students, prepare professionals, and cultivate scholars who will play a leading role in creating more culturally engaged, ecologically sustainable, socially just, and artfully conceived environments.

Made up of six renowned colleges, we offer a range of courses in art, design, screen, communication, fashion, media and performing arts. While we teach our artists on how to further their own practices, we simultaneously prioritize how we prepare students for rewarding careers post-CalArts.

CalArts is a multi-disciplinary community of artists. Through artistic practice, we transform ourselves, each other, and the world.

We have multiple distinct in person offerings: Master of Fine Arts, Master of Arts in Teaching, the Salt Program of Documentary Studies. We also have brand new online programs: Master of Arts in Education, an Arts Therapy certificate and an Arts Administration certificate. 
 
We believe that an artist's life is centered on their studio practice. For us, the studio is both a public and private place where artists undertake research, experimentation, reflection, collaboration, and problem-solving, all in preparation for creating and presenting meaningful artwork. Our students learn that a lively and enduring studio practice will allow them to become creative agents in the world. 

Since 1996 we have offered our teacher education programs as the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto. Today OISE is one of the largest faculties at the University and one of the largest faculties of education in North America.
