Allysha Vigneux
My independent study prof Howard changed the trajectory of my life by encouraging me to pursue a project I had wanted to do but was unsure about – a custom designed and made electric guitar. His encouragement led me to creating the Angela Rose guitar, which led to being on multiple TV programs and a radio show during GradEx, and shortly after winning the ACIDO marketing award. From there, I established my business, AV Guitars, and have since made guitars for musicians including Billy Strings and Alanis Morissette, who actively tour worldwide with the guitar I made for her.
None of this would have happened without him encouraging me, taking an interest in my ideas, and taking me seriously. I will always value the conversations we had together and the joy they brought me, especially during such a stressful year.
