OCAD University’s RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers is excited to announce Willa Crowder and Amia Khosla as the recipients of the Contemporary Textile Studio Co-op 2026 Residency!
Willa Crowder bio:
My work is rooted in exploration, with a mixed passion for garment making and art installation. My main mediums are pattern drafting, machine sewing, hand sewing, screen printing, and recently, natural dyeing. I've also dabbled in ceramics. In my art and designs I prioritize using second hand, recycled and found materials. Through themes of nature, queerness, gender, spirituality, human connection, and mending as a double entendre; I express nuanced messages in my work with the goal of guiding others to see magic in the ordinary. I view my work as an extension of myself; I like to think of art as a dance between material and maker.
