OCAD University’s RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers is excited to announce Caro Simon as the recipient of the 2025 Artist Project Call for Artists Career Launchers!

Caro's work will be on display at the 16th annual Artist Project held at the Better Living Centre, Exhibition Place, from May 8 - 11, 2025.

Caro Simon (b.1997) is an interdisciplinary artist from Belgium/Luxembourg living and practicing in T’karonto (Toronto). She primarily works in sculpture/installation, poetry, printmaking and analog photography. Drawing from minimalist purposelessness and abstraction, her work examines the distanced modes of interactions between bodies and disregarded urban infrastructure as well as the anti-aesthetic in the context of postindustrial environments.

OCAD U x SickKids Research Institute Exhibition - Call for Artists

OCAD University’s RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers (CEAD) and The Hospital for Sick Children Research Institute (SickKids RI) have partnered to co-create an exhibition in the Great Hall at OCAD University on November 16-27, 2026. The CEAD and SickKids RI are inviting emerging artists to submit existing works for consideration. The responding artworks to be curated will be in dialogue with captivating scientific images or videos from SickKids Research Institute. 7-9 successful artists will each be paid a $500 Artist Fee.
