Daniel Francavilla

Daniel is a marketer and educator obsessed with community and impact. He supports founders, leaders and organizations through strong branding and content strategy.
Daniel is a Certified Brand Strategist, professor at OCAD University, member of the Canadian Marketing Association and RGD, and recipient of a 40 Under 40 Award.
He supports leaders and their organizations with aligned branding, compelling content strategy, clear personal brands, impactful storytelling and more as Daniel Does Consulting.
Daniel launched The Good Growth Company in 2023, an upskilling company for non-profit organizations and purpose-driven businesses seeking to invest in their people to help scale their mission. He has been named one of the Top Community Builders to Watch for 2026.
Back in 2013, Daniel founded creative agency Now Creative Group, which was acquired by King Street Media in 2021. Now received a Business Excellence Award, CMA Award and RGD Social Good Design Award.
Daniel is passionate about helping others to create social change. After travelling to developing countries as a student, he founded a nonprofit organization to help children in the developing world receive an education and to empower local youth to become leaders. Today, ACCESS supports youth who are creating their own projects and organizations for positive social change, and offers mentorship and grants, hosting Bright Ideas Pitches. He also serves on the Save the Children Canada Campaign Cabinet and has supported the Tech+Biz4SickKids Council.
After earning a degree in Graphic Design at OCAD University, he completed a certificate in Digital Strategy & Communications Management at the University of Toronto.
Today, he is a Professor at OCAD University within the Faculty of Design and George Brown’s School of Design. He has also taught at Seneca’s School of Marketing & Media and at Humber’s Continuous Professional Learning.
Daniel has spoken at various events, conferences and workshops within the local startup scene and local non-profit sector. His podcast, Growth for Good, focused on marketing and communications for the nonprofit space, to help amplify positive impact. Daniel has also mentored students from high school to postsecondary in starting their own initiatives, businesses and careers.
