Board of Governors’ External Member Nominations

OCAD University’s Board of Governors (Board) has members from the external community, who are elected by the Board itself. This External Member position is a voluntary position for a three-year term upon successful completion of the recruitment and election process. 

The Executive Committee of the Board, acting in its nominating role, considers potential candidates. The position description, candidate requirements and nomination process are described in the position profile (PDF).

Persons interested in the External Member position are requested to submit a letter of introduction and expression of interest, and a curriculum vitae electronically, in confidence, to:

Board of Governors’ Internal Student Member Elections

OCAD University is pleased to announce the results of the elections for the student positions on the Board of Governors:


As there were insufficient nominations to hold an election, the following two undergraduate student candidates have been acclaimed in their positions, which will commence October 5, 2015 (for a two-year term, as long as they remain Undergraduate Students at OCAD U):

  1. Mariano Paul Martellacci, a fourth year student in the Bachelor of Design, Environmental Design program; and
  2. Emily Rourke, a thesis year student in the Bachelor of Fine Arts, Photography program.
