OCAD U classrooms get major AV upgrades in prep for return of students

Despite the campus closure and remote course delivery plan for this fall, OCAD U continues to invest in improving the classroom teaching and learning experience in anticipation of the return of our community.

OCAD U’s IT Services team is making the most of the closure by upgrading 27 of the campus’s classrooms with completely refreshed AV equipment. The improvements include brighter 1080p projectors, HDMI connectivity and improved controllers. Faculty and students will notice an improvement of image quality, audio quality, reliability and ease of use. These changes will make it significantly easier for instructors to get set up for each class, and with new automatic shutdown settings for when the equipment is not in use, these upgrades will reduce overall campus energy use and help us achieve our sustainability goals.
