The Studio Services Team presents:

COFFEE WITH JOHN DIESSEL (Plastics Studio) & DARRELL CURRINGTON (Rapid Prototyping Centre)!

Looking to connect with studio technicians to discuss projects or ask questions?  Studio Services is hosting a series of casual drop-in sessions throughout the term!

John Diessel is the technician in the OCAD U Plastics Studio. John has years of experience in a variety of skilled trades and is licensed as a General Machinist. Even though John's skills are largely practical, he has had the pleasure of working with numerous artists over the years creating outdoor displays, gallery works, and props for film and television. John returned to school to update and enhance his skills gaining a Certificate in Adult Education, an Advanced Diploma in Craft and Design (Furniture), and a Bachelor of Design (Industrial Design) at OCAD University. John's current interest is micro modeling active spaces.

Darrell Currington is the Technician at OCAD U's Rapid Prototyping Centre, where he has been working since its inception in 2008. Darrell Studied Architectural technology at George Brown College and Environmental Design at OCAD U. He continues to moonlight as a Design Consultant, specializing in Digital Fabrication. In his free time, he enjoys road tripping around North America and making ridiculous Halloween costumes that drive his family crazy.
