Let's Talk COVID and Social Anxiety

lets talk covid and social anxiety with peer wellness at swc

Let's talk about COVID-19's positive and negative impacts on our social lives. We'll discuss uncertainties regarding the vaccine rollout, the psychological effects of an abrupt halt to strict COVID-19 measures, and how we feel about the shift from virtual lives back into in-person experiences.

Peer Wellness works to de-stigmatize conversations on mental health in our community through Brave Spaces and Anti-Oppressive Programming. We will be discussing lockdown, virtual learning, strategies to reduce anxiety and being a currently enrolled OCADU student during the Pandemic Led by volunteers Pauline Aksay and Nora Bahgat. July 23 at 1pm to 2:30

What thoughts come up when you think about lockdown?
Did lockdown change the way you interact with friends and family?
What did you gain from lockdown and virtual learning?
What strategies have kept you safe and manage your anxiety throughout quarantine?
Has your behavior changed after the vaccine rollout?
What kind of activities make you feel calm?
Are there aspects of opening the Province that are exciting?
Do you have any resources to support others?
