Fenton Jagdeo, SFI 2022 Innovation Forum keynote speaker

He’s co-founder and co-CEO of FACULTY, a NY based cosmetics company for men, which has gained the attention of the Business of Fashion, the Wall Street Journal, and GQ. He’s raised over $3.5MM from the likes of Estee Lauder Companies, HBO’s Game of Thrones Star Maisie Williams, and Barack Obama’s closest advisors – Making Fenton one of the very few Black Canadians to raise capital for a venture.

As a seasoned board director, he's currently the youngest Commissioner ever to sit on the Toronto Transit Commission's (TTC) board where he oversees 15K employees and a $2B operating budget.

Fenton previously sat on the board of the Toronto Public Library – the largest public library system in the world – where he was responsible for chairing the Strategic Planning Committee and developing the library’s five-year strategy, in addition to overseeing $200M in funding.

In his spare time, he runs a venture fund that invests in companies from pre-seed to Series A, (recently deploying to a mobility SaaS platform based in Vancouver) and independently advises incubators, company leaders and politicians in North America, North Africa, and Asia.

Fenton is an instructor at OCAD University, where he teaches Strategy Development in the School of Graduate Studies program Strategic Foresight and Innovation.
