OCAD U Community Gathering: Debriefing the US Elections
Online via Microsoft Teams
(To gain access to this event, please login with your OCAD U credentials.)
The upcoming US Election has many unknowns. The lead up has already been anxiety-provoking and distressing for many of us. Therefore, we wanted to gather as a community the day after the election to reflect, listen, share and yes, create together.
Join us on November 4th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm to hear from our community. It’s our time to speak to the significance of this moment, draw connections to Canadian issues and think about how we can make new things together.
We are in this together, differently. We will get through this together, as a community. This is an opportunity to reflect and build support for one another during what is already a difficult time. We hope this event will help us describe how we move forward together, knowing that this election will differently impact our community members.
Facilitated by Min Sook Lee (Faculty of Art), Rachel Aescivius (OCADSU) and Fady Shanouda (FCDC). Shannon Gerard (Faculty of Art) will be working on a textile piece for a radical banner lending library. Bring your own art supplies for a work-along. With poetry by Phoebe Wang and others. Feel free to bring a poem or reading to share.
