RAD (Registration Assistance Days) at OCAD University are held each year in late June or early July, and are coordinated by the Office of the Registrar.

RAD are designed to help new undergraduate students (first-year and upper-year) prepare for registration — and the year ahead.

Daily Schedule

Participants should plan to attend for the full 4.5 hours in order to meet OCAD U staff, get to know some classmates, tour the community and campus, plan and schedule fall and winter-term courses, and more!

Each day's schedule runs from approximately 9:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.

Parents & Family Info Session

Parents/family/guardians are welcome at RAD too!

A one hour Parent-Info Session is offered on each day of Undergraduate RAD, where parents/family/guardians can meet faculty and staff, and ask questions.

Housing Info Session 

Are you looking for student housing? Do you have questions about starting your search and where to start looking? Is this your first time renting in Toronto by yourself?

Learn to navigate the Toronto rental market and get information around rental rules, tenancy agreements, inspections, and scams. This session is 30 minutes long and will provide you with tips and information on how to find safe and comfortable accommodation.

From this workshop, you will gain:

  • Skills to secure student housing rentals
  • Information on how to communicate with leasing agents via email and phone
  • Tips on how to avoid scams and keep your money safe
  • A tool kit to help get you started on your housing search

Do I have to attend RAD?

Attending a RAD session is optional.


Students who cannot attend RAD will receive further instructions on course planning and registration by email. Additional resources are located on the Registration and Advising page
