The Faculty Laptop Program provides faculty with the exclusive long-term loan of a laptop for a given semester or academic year, pending approval. Access to up-to-date laptops with current software assists with curriculum delivery, professional development and the success of the student Laptop Program at OCAD U.
How to Request This Service
There is an application process:
- May/June: Application forms are due by the end of May and reviewed by your home Faculty Office. Each Faculty has a limited number of laptops for distribution.
- July: Approvals are granted by Faculty Offices
- Aug: Distribution of Laptops and Professional Development Winter: Apply to Renew, Approval Process, Renewals or Returns
To apply please browse to the IT Services Support site, login, click "submit a ticket" and select "Faculty Laptop Loans". Fill out the form and click submit.
There is no charge to the user for this service. Late fines apply as per the Equipment Loan Guidelines (PDF).
Any Tenure / Tenure-track / CLTA / Continuing / Teaching Intensive Stream faculty are invited to apply
