Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan
The Human Resources office is committed to supporting OCAD University in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees at the University. As outlined in the Emergency Preparedness Plan at OCAD University, a customized Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) will assist and prepare for a safe emergency evacuation from the work place for employees with disabilities.
Employees with disabilities, including a temporary disability, are encouraged to consult with Human Resources to identify individualized needs related to emergency information and procedures. Although an employee is not required to disclose the particulars of their disability or condition, identifying the accommodations that are related to a disability is important in the event of an emergency.
An employee who requires a Personalized Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) may:
- Contact your Human Resources Advisor by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or in person by visiting 115 McCaul Street, 3rd floor.
- Discuss the accommodation or assistance that is required in the event of an emergency evacuation and complete the Personalized Emergency Evacuation Plan Form, which will remain on file with Human Resources and Campus Security.
The Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) is reviewed on an annual basis, or as necessary in response to a change in work location or personal situation. It is the responsibility of the employee and the employee’s supervisor to communicate any changes to the emergency evacuation plan on file to Human Resources.
