Good2Talk is a free, professional helpline available 24/7/365 for post-secondary students in Ontario.
Distress Centre Toronto
Distress Centre Toronto provides telephone crisis support 24/7/365 to individuals of any background experiencing emotional distress. There is also chat available through a computer or mobile device, from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily.
The Gerstein Centre is a 24-hour community based crisis service for adults 16+ in the City of Toronto offering telephone crisis support, mobile crisis team and crisis beds. This service offers crisis and problem solving support as well as connections to community resources.
Youthspace provides online and text support for people 30 years and under. Their hours are 9 p.m. to 3 a.m., Toronto time (EST). This service provides emotional support, assists individuals in crisis and links to other emergency services as needed.
Youthline provides phone, text, and chat services for LGBT youth. Their hours are 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday to Friday. This service provides peer support, as well as LGBT positive and specific resources in your area.
Trans Lifeline provides crisis support for individuals who identify as transgender/are struggling with their gender identity. This service is staffed by individuals who identify as transgender.
Connex Ontario Helplines
ConnexOntario operates three helplines that provide health services information for people experiencing problems with gambling, drugs or alcohol, and mental illness.
