In the expanded context of applying learned skills outside of OCAD U, students are encouraged to pursue opportunities which place them in "real-world" situations offered in partnership with cultural organizations, industry, community service agencies and creative producers. The Experiential Learning Placements Program, within the Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers, is responsible for facilitating and supporting these kinds of placements inside of curriculum. Largely, these take the form of work-integrated, service-based, collaborative and situated learning placements.
If you would like to develop a partnership with OCAD U to bring students into your organization, if you are a faculty member looking for resources/support, or if you are a student eager to find an internship opportunity, we can help.
