Career Development at OCAD U

As part of the Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers, the Career Development office provides direction, resources and opportunities which enable students to develop the skills and knowledge base required to be successful creative professionals, in any number of contexts and sectors.

The Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers

The Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers (CEAD) is committed to supporting the early-career advancement of all students and recent alumni at OCAD U. To accomplish this, a wide range of both academic and co-curricular services are offered by the Career Development office and Experiential Learning Program, including facilitated learning experiences, a variety of skill-building resources and meaningful opportunities which are situated in practice.

Magnet + OCAD U

OCAD University is a proud member of the Magnet network, which is a new platform for connecting students and new graduates with Ontario-wide employment opportunities.

Students can visit to build a profile and get started with their generalized job search! Specialized creative opportunities geared towards artists and designers will continue to be posted on the OCAD U Talent Network

Z Academy

OCAD University is one of a select group of schools to partner with Z Academy (run by the Young & Rubicam Group), which offers creative student talent the chance to participate in paid, highly professional and global internship opportunities. Details about Z Academy can be found at
