OCAD University (Dorothy H. Hoover) Library is committed to providing equal access to services and collections for all students, faculty and staff at the university. We endeavour to create a fully accessible learning environment for the whole OCADU community.
Where self-use of library facilities and/or services is difficult or impossible, the Library will make special provisions, to permit users with disabilities to:
- access library resources in their preferred format*
- examine sources
- retrieve materials
- access library services
*Registration for the alternate formats service is required. Students register through the Centre for Students with Disabilities and staff/faculty register through Human Resources). The Library is a member of the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL), which has created a repository of accessible materials available to OCAD U students, staff, and faculty through the alternate formats service as well.
