Overview
The Design Photography Studio serves photographic needs of students enrolled in relevant Faculty of Design programs and courses. The Design Photography Studio Facilities are located on the 5th floor of 100 McCaul Street (across from the express elevators).
The Design Photography Studio is equipped with a wide range of equipment to assist students with their photographic needs. Eligible students have the opportunity to sign-out a large variety of equipment to use overnight; or within one of the studios located on the 5th and 6th floor (Room 507, 552, and 664) during studio hours.
Eligible students looking to gain access to the Design Photography Studio must join the canvas page, complete the modules provided and achieve 100% on the quiz, then come to the Equipment Cage to receive an access sticker for the current year (this has to be renewed every school year). Eligibility requirements, how to make reservations; check-outs and renewals and how late fines are applied can be found in the modules on the canvas page. Please refer to these modules before coming to the Equipment Cage, if you are unsure please contact the Design Photography Studio for more information or inquiries.

If you are looking to make or change an equipment reservation please call the Design Photography Studio or use Patron Portal. If you are looking to renew your equipment please contact the Design Photography Studio directly by phone, as we do not accept renewals over email or by voicemail. All checkouts and returns are to be made in person at the Equipment Cage.
THE STUDIOS
The studios can accommodate eligible Design Photography students who wish to produce still-life, portraiture, editorial & product shoots. Please confirm with the Design Photography Studio and the canvas page with what is prohibited and not prohibited within the studios. The studios come equipped with a range of backdrops, which includes the standard black, white, and grey, with additional coloured backdrops when requested.
THE EQUIPMENT
The Design Photography Studio provides a large range of equipment that can be taken off the school premise and overnight, including: Digital cameras, Elinchrom strobe kits, umbrella light kits, Fiilex LED kits, Lumahawks, Foldio Portable Studios and additional photographic equipment. While also providing equipment that is only available to be used within the studios, including: Speedotrons, Redheads and other photographic equipment and accessories.
