Join OCADU’s effort to move to zero waste!
Immediately after GradEx and for locker cleanout, bring projects and materials for reuse and recycling where possible.
We are accepting all types of art & design materials! PLEASE no garbage or food.
Location: 100 McCaul, 2nd Floor, Great Hall
Hours: Staff will be on site to help you break down and separate the materials by type on Sun May 7 – 5pm to 10pm, Mon May 8th – 8am to 3pm, and Tues May 9th – 8am to 3pm.
The bins will also be available outside these hours till May 9.
How: Please break down your contributions by material type and check the bin signs (e.g. MDF is separate from scrap wood).
We’re collecting data on waste volumes and types, to learn about our material uses and work to further reduce our impact in coming years. Usable materials will be saved and redistributed to the ReUse Depots.
We’re also excited to be working with The Artist Material Fund - a Toronto based initiative to redistribute art materials to the creative community at large, to help maximize reuse!
