Partnership to benefit Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers

A partnership agreement with Kolab Project, announced today, will enhance the community experience, foster faculty innovation and enrich academic programming at OCAD University.

A subsidiary of Auxly Cannabis Group, Kolab Project is a Toronto-based platform dedicated to arts, design and culture.

“We are delighted to participate in this important partnership with Kolab Project,” said Dr. Sara Diamond, President and Vice-Chancellor, OCAD University. “This is a very exciting time for our university and we are very grateful for the interest and support from Auxly.”

The collaboration will benefit OCAD U’s Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers (CEAD) through the development of design-focused working placements, and will create and support art exhibit opportunities for the University.

Call-for-Submissions: The Next Fourteen Days

OCAD U is pleased to announce The Next Fourteen Days, the inaugural project from OCAD U’s collaboration with Kolab Project and  Auxly Cannabis Group.

The Next Fourteen Days is a new initiative that will provide grants to realize 14 new projects, created by OCAD U students, recent alumni and also select faculty. These projects will document new work created over a period of 14 days in May 2020. Collectively and individually these works will speak to this time of physical distancing and self-isolation.

Supported by the Centre for Emerging Artists and Designers, this initiative is designed to support OCAD U artists and designers from across disciplines and media, and it invites proposals for projects and/or works that engage with experiences of social isolation and engagement.

Fourteen participating artists will be awarded individual project grants of $1,000 each.
