OCAD University mourns victims of plane crash in Iran

The OCAD University community is deeply saddened by the news of the Ukraine International Airlines plane crash that claimed the lives of 176 people near Tehran yesterday. “While it appears we did not lose any members of our community, we extend our condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of those who died,” said Dr. Sara Diamond, President and Vice-Chancellor, OCAD University. Among the victims were a number of university students and faculty members from across Canada, in addition to Iranians with close connections to Canada.

Students looking for support in the wake of this news should visit the Student Wellness Centre at 230 Richmond St. W. 6th floor.
