Recognizing that many students have been affected financially by the latest wave of the pandemic and the recent public health measures, OCAD U’s Financial Aid & Awards Office has initiated a COVID Impact Bursary, which is supported by the University's donors.

This bursary will assist students with short-term needs, whether it be unpaid sick days due to COVID, isolation or getting a booster, or facing an unanticipated reduction in employment hours caused by business shutdowns.

Eligibility

All current students registered in the Winter 2022 term are eligible to apply.

How to apply

Complete and send the application form with required documentation to the Financial Aid & Awards office via email at financiala@ocadu.ca. If you have not previously provided direct deposit information, please complete the Non-Payroll Direct Deposit Agreement and provide a void cheque/bank deposit letter.

OCAD University will review applications every Friday. Submissions are required by end-of-day each Thursday. Payment will be issued the following week for all approved applicants, provided direct deposit information has been submitted.

OCAD University has been supporting students with COVID-related funding since March 2020, prior to any announcements regarding government income programs designed specifically in response to the pandemic.

Fortunately, federal and provincial support for individuals is available. Our focus has been on providing access and support for students in terms of their studies.

OCAD U provides more than $1.5 million in bursary funding annually through our various bursary programs from donated and internal sources.
