Art, crafts and design works collide at the upcoming Artist Alley: Valentine’s Edition on Saturday, February 11 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at OCAD University.

Thirty-six vendors will be stationed in the Great Hall (on Level 2 at 100 McCaul Street) for the duration of the event, with an array of posters, prints, zines, stickers, greeting cards, ceramics, fashion, jewelry items and more, created by OCAD U alums and current students.

Artist Alley: Valentine’s Edition is run by a small but mighty team of OCAD U students, spearheaded by co-leads Geann Gamboa and Lizzy McNeil.

“OCAD U’s Artist Alley aims to showcase the many works of OCAD students and alumni,” says Gamboa.

“At our Valentine’s Day market, we want to provide exposure for emerging artists to allow them to gain experience in marketing their brand or work. Additionally, this event is free of charge for students, which is a great opportunity for diversity in applications and limits the repercussions of one applying. We want to share love and art for Valentine’s Day!”

Vendors include DeeDee.Datalogue with handmade goods such as airbrush work and stickers, Bugs’ Breakfast with an assortment of ceramics and jewelry and Sundropsol’s crochet creations.

Admission to Artist Alley is free and the event is open to the public. Shoppers are advised to bring cash as most of the artists may not have card machines.
