OCAD University’s RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers is excited to announce **Jessica Patel** as the recipient of the **2025 wonderMakr Jr. Creative Technologist** Career Launchers!
[**Jessica Patel**](https://jessica-patel.github.io/portfolio-website/index.html) is a Master of Design candidate in the Digital Futures program who thrives on solving complex challenges. Her path began with a bachelor’s degree in physics and astronomy. While researching ultra-faint dwarf galaxies, she realized her desire to conduct research that produces more tangible solutions for the complex problems that affect people every day. After earning a UX design certification, she pursued graduate studies and is working on a thesis project involving human-computer interaction, game studies, and machine learning. While continuing her research, Jessica is working with industry professionals to build upon her expertise.

[### 2027 Critical Distance Centre for Curators Projections Program Call for Artists
OCAD University’s RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers (CEAD) and Critical Distance Centre for Curators (CDCC) have partnered to co-create CDCC Projections Program Career Launcher. Four (4) to five (5) selected emerging artists will receive $690 to exhibit work in a single channel, projection-based screening program that will be displayed at the CDCC in March 2027.
