This fee supports the Health and Wellness Centre, providing OCAD U students with access to medical care, mental health services, and counselling.  ### Centre for Emerging Artists and Designers 

This fee supports career services, including counselling, info sessions, job fairs, job boards, and placements. They help students develop skills for successful creative careers.  ### Student Buildings

 ### Canadian Federation of Students (“CFS”)

 ### Orientation Fee (new students only) 

This fee supports transition programs for new OCAD students. It's a one-time fee for incoming students. The fee is charged in the Fall term.  ### Health and Dental Plan Fee 

Students (1.5 credits or more per term and full-time graduate programs) are enrolled in the University's Health and Dental Plan every academic year. Changes to coverage can be made during the first month of studies. The fee is charged in the Fall and Winter terms.  ### University Health Insurance Plan (“UHIP”) 

International students in Ontario are enrolled in the University Health Insurance Plan, which covers basic health care, including hospital and doctor services. 2025/2026, the fee is charged in the Fall and Winter terms.  ### Community Safety Fee

This fee supports community safety initiatives that enhance psychological safety, early conflict resolution, and trauma-informed student services through education and culturally responsive pathways.  **Students in the Laptop Program pay annual fees for software and support, which are specific to their program and year of entry.**

Laptop fees are mandatory program related fees and are charged upon registration. Fees are charged in the Fall and Winter terms.  Production materials fees cover the cost of consumable materials used in student work at OCAD U's shops and studios. These fees are added to a student's financial account upon course registration and are non-refundable after the full refund withdrawal deadline. Some courses in dedicated studios also have related fees, noted in the course calendar.
